Create VTuber Turnaround Sheets
VTuber turnaround sheets are functional production documents — they serve as the blueprint a Live2D or 3D rigger uses to build your virtual avatar. Every element must be drawn with rigging in mind: how hair separates, where cloth deforms, which accessories move independently.
- 01
Design with layer separation annotations
Mark which elements are separate layers: front hair, back hair, face, left eye, right eye, mouth, each accessory. VTuber rigging requires this separation.
- 02
Generate the three rigging views
Front (primary rigging reference), three-quarter (depth reference), and profile (nose and chin shape). These are the three non-negotiable views.
- 03
Create the Live2D expression chart
Generate face close-ups for: neutral, smile, laugh, sad, angry, surprised, plus A-I-U-E-O mouth shapes. These directly map to blend shapes.
- 04
Document physics simulation points
Mark which elements should have physics: hair strands, ribbons, earrings, coat tails, ahoge. Show their rest position and max swing angle.
- 05
Produce outfit variants
VTubers often switch outfits for events. Generate alternate costumes using the exact same base body reference for easy outfit swapping in the rig.
- The rigger needs separate images of front-hair, back-hair, and any overlapping elements — generate them individually
- Eye highlights and pupils should be documented as separate layers from the iris base color
- Indicate which accessories are "always present" vs. toggleable in the final model
- Include a chibi/emote version of the character for stream alerts and channel points
